He was born on November 8, 1959, in Kountze, Texas, to Chloe Jan Strahan and Jack Strahan. David spent his life in the place he called home - Batson, Texas.
David worked as a welder and was known for being hardworking, dependable, and always willing to help others. He lived a simple life and found joy in the things he loved most.
David enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time at home "piddling around," always staying busy. He also had a big heart for his fur babies and loved caring for them - Sadie, Ellie, and Bob.
David is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lana Strahan; his son, David Strahan Jr. and wife Candie; grandsons, Caleb and Jacob; granddaughter, Hudson Strahan; his mother, Chloe Jan Strahan; his mother-in-law, Gloria Payne; his sister, Toni Strahan; his sister-in-law, Paula Stanley and her spouse, Glen; his sister-in-law, Kayla Parker and her spouse, Seth; his brother-in-law, Kyle Payne and his spouse, Cassy; his precious aunt, Alice Faye Jacobs; his cousin and best friend, Terry Jacobs; special neighbors and friends, Will Ard and Robert Willis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
David is preceded in death by his father, Jack Strahan; his son, Brandon Hinklin; his father-in-law, Billy Ray Singleton; and his brother-in-law, Aaron Singleton.
David will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
