Billy Wayne Walton, Sr. 76, passed on July 17, 2024 in Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Livingston.

He was born July 25, 1947 in Beaumont, Texas, son of William David Walton and Ruth Althea (Williams) Walton. Billy graduated from Deweyville High School in 1965 where he was quite the Basketball star. Following graduation, he married his sweetheart, Doris Boulware, settling in the Buna area and eventually following his parents to their new hometown of Livingston, Texas. They celebrated 58 years of marriage in June. He hobbies were his family, gardening, hunting and fishing. He was a member and a Deacon at Blanchard Baptist Church for many years.

He was proceeded in death by his dad, William "Bill" Walton, his sister, Cynthia Louise Walton and great-great Grandson, Lux Godkin. Surviving in addition to his beloved wife Doris, and mom Ruth, children Elaine and husband Rodney Rogers, Billy Wayne "Bubba" Walton, Jr., and Janie and husband Chuck Sparks, his brother in law, Bobby L. Smith, niece Angela and husband James Welch. He also left behind 11 grandchildren (Corey, Candace, Matraca, Shoney, Summer, Randi, John, Brandi, Megan, Jordin and Harley. 18 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and many other friends and family.

The funeral service will be held at 11am Monday July 22, 2024 at Blanchard Baptist Church, Brother Fred Alford will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 10 am. Burial will follow the funeral at Suddeth Bluff Cemetery, Buna, Texas at 3 pm. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Pace Funeral Home.
