Karen Jean (Coyle) Sanders was born on December 29, 1949, in Pasadena, Texas, to Benjamin Louis Coyle and Patsy Ann Sprankle Coyle Cowan. She passed away from this life on July 13, 2024, in Tyler, Texas at the age of 74.

Kay was a dedicated employee of 20 years at Citibank in Houston TX. After retirement from the bank, she decided to go back to college and pursue her dream of being a teacher. She graduated from the University of Houston Clear Lake. After graduation she began her career at Galena Park ISD. Later on, Kay and Carl relocated to Polk County where they settled and lived happily. Kay continued her passion of teaching at Pine Ridge elementary in Livingston and later Onalaska Elementary until retirement.
After retirement her and Carl traveled all over the United States with their RV. They visited all the places Kay had dreamed of seeing for years, her most memorable sites were Disney World, Washington D. C. and the Grand Canyon.
Kay will be missed deeply by all of those that knew her. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is with the Lord. Her memory will last on in their hearts, and she will be cherished forever.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Carl Eugene Sanders Jr; sisters, Sandra Korth & husband Robert, Laura Coyle Fitch & husband Richard Fitch; nieces, Emily Heider, Jennifer Korth, Natalie Korth and Samantha Bellamy & husband Adam Bellamy; as well as many other family members, friends and loved ones.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents.

A Visitation for Kay will be held from 5:00p- 8:00p, Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Pace Funeral Home, in Livingston, Texas.

A Celebration of Kays Life will be at 10:00a, Friday, July 19, 2024, at Pace Funeral Home, in Livingston, Texas with Reverend Joel McMahon officiating.

Interment is to follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, in Livingston, Texas.
