Her grandfather nicknamed her Patsy and it stuck, stuck so much she became known as Evelyn P Walker and went by Pat Walker her entire life.
The Jecmenek Family had to move around a lot after Mom was born, there was a depression going on and work was scarce, so they Family had to go where work was available. After spending time in many towns all over Texas, the family finally set down roots in the Heights area of Houston.
Mom was a graduate of Jeff Davis High school. During her twenties, Mom worked as an airline stewardess for Trans Texas airways, being one of five original flight attendants for the airline. She wanted to see the world and the only way she thought she could do that was to become an airline stewardess. Before going through training with Delta to fly international, Mom took a job with Moncrief-Lenoir and there she met her future husband, and everything changed.
She married Robert Walker in 1953 and started a Family right away. The first of four children were born: Robert Gregory, Rene Joyce, Regina Marie and Raymond Matthew. Sadly, she lost Regina and then Unfortunately was divorced in 1966.
Raising three children by herself she started working at JC Penney in cosmetics. There she met many lifelong friends; none more import to her than her dear friend Carolyn Crawford, Carolyn's family and dear friend Annabelle.
Started many businesses during her life; a wedding business with her daughter in 1977 called Weddings by Rene, another one in 1993 called White Dove wedding chapel.
Mom retired to Lake Livingston in 2005, but soon got restless and at age 80 decided to start another business with her two sons, where she continued to work at some capacity until 2020. Unfortunately, a tornado destroyed the business, her home and placed her in the hospital.
Mom was a very unique person; she was not boring at all. She liked fancy, she liked bold, she liked bright. She liked people of action, but most of all She loved God and honored his Commandants.
The Family appreciates all the prayers our mother received from everyone. We also appreciate the special love given by Vicki, Rhonda, Annabelle, Ushey, Dean, Bobbie and Jay, your friendship was very special to our mother. Over the years Ushey and Mom had hundreds of cups of coffee and probably thousands of glasses of wine, Mom loved your friendship. Special thanks to Neelum, who Mom lovely called "Happy" for her care within her last days.
Survived by her son Robert Gregory, son Raymond Matthew, Daughter in law Lisa and granddaughters Lauren and Sarah.
