I served in the armed forces.
Jerry Don Marsh born September 10, 1942, in Montezuma, Tennessee to a James O. Marsh and Dale Maxine Cox Marsh Hearn, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, in Livingston, Texas at the age of 79.
He is survived by his sons, Steven Don Marsh & wife Rita, Darren Bradley Marsh & wife Daneen, Dale L. Marsh & wife Sharon, Dustin L. Abbot; aunts, Patsy Shilliday husband John Shilliday & family, from Jackson Tennessee, Peggy Weaver from Henderson, Tennessee; Six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; as well as many loved ones and a host of friends.
Jerry was a Captain in the United States Navy, a member of the Masonic Lodge #1172, a retired law officer, a deputy United States Marshalls office in Texas, Chief Police in Burnet, Texas, A member of the San Jacinto High Rollers Club. After retiring from a life of law enforcement, he went on to become a successful businessman of J&C Supper Club, and a true inspiration to the people in this community.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James O. Marsh and Dale M. Cox Marsh Hearn; Former wife and best friend, Carolyn Marsh; brothers, Perry Hearn, and Tim Marsh.
Visitation for Mr. Marsh will be held from 5-8pm on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Pace Funeral Home
A Celebration of Jerry's Life will begin at 10am Saturday, September 18, 2021, with Pastors Mike Gates and Joe John officiating. Masonic rights will be presented by Trinity Masonic Lodge #14 of Livingston, Texas, at Pace Funeral Home, interment to Follow at Camp Ruby Cemetery, with military honors to be provided by VFW Post 8568.
