She held a degree from Howard Payne University, and went on to teach English and Music, before retiring to raise a family. She had been a member of the NEA, TSTA, and TETA. She was a statewide teacher and conference speaker with TETA (Texas English Teachers Association.) She has recently authored 3 books in the series "Ghosts of the Big Thicket," that are available everywhere books are sold.
Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family, and her dogs, Lexie, and Missy Rose. But above all, she loved Jesus and was a faithful prayer warrior for her family and friends.
Here is how she described herself in a one sentence bio from her book series:
"That obnoxiously joyful, hug-driven, southern relative that you'd like to hide in the attic, just might be me!"
