Jimmy was born December 31, 1945, In Houston, Texas to Charles Lewis and Telka Dean Greson Sumrall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Keith R. Sumrall.
Left to cherish Jimmy's memory are his wife of 61 years Yolanda Joy Sumrall, and his children; Tab Russell Sumrall, Kerry R. Sumrall, and Todd R. Sumrall, his sister LaVean Gloria Rethford, numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Livingston, TX Monday, June 22, 2026 Jimmy was a cousin and childhood playmate. I was recently thinking of him and how we had a big galvanized tub we were using as a pool and a big truck drove up and delivered an inflatable pool from my daddy. I used to aggravate him by standing in front of the tv when he was trying to watch! Sorry Jimbo. I didn’t know about your passing but my heart is broken. So many memories with you Dolores and LaDean. Aunt Telka and Uncle Charlie my favorites too. Rest in peace and condolences to your family
