Nellie Irene Drew, 80, of Livingston, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on November 19, 2025. She was born on October 25, 1945, in Ontario, Oregon, to Archie Roy Gries and Clara Mae Gries.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, affectionately known as Lolli, Mawmaw, Mom, and Momma. She brought warmth and joy to everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. Her greatest delight was spending time with her family, whose laughter and love lit up her days. She also enjoyed visiting the casino and was known for her remarkable luck at the slots, always managing to come home a winner.

Nellie cherished her late husband, Thomas. The love they shared was truly one of a kind; deep, tender, and unwavering. They exchanged love notes each morning, expressing their devotion, and ended every night with a big, sloppy kiss. The day he passed, a part of Nellie went with him, and her family often imagined her praying each morning for God to bring her home so they could be together again. Knowing that her prayer has now been answered brings comfort to those who miss her so dearly. She was the heart of her family, and her absence will be felt forever.

Her legacy of love, devotion, and family will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.

Nellie will be joining her beloved husband of 61 years Thomas Drew and great-grandson Drew Penman in Heaven.

She is survived by her loving family; children, Robert Drew & wife Bobbie, Wendy Hanks & husband Michael, Tim Drew & wife Tammie; grandchildren, Meagan Penman & husband Patrick, Ashley Bloodworth &husband Michael, Cassie Drew, Brooke Drew, Jared Drew & wife Sandra, Bret Drew, Joshua Hanks; great- grandchildren, Mackenzie and Avery Bloodworth, Hudson Drew, Peyton and Ella Penman; and a baby girl on the way Marli Drew; as well as many other loved one and a host of friends.

A Graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Magnolia Hill Cemetery, in Segno, Texas, with Pastor Chris Knox Officiating.

Robert, I’m holding you and your family in my thoughts as you move through these rough days. Your mother clearly raised someone strong, steady, and full of heart, and that kind of legacy doesn’t fade. I hope the stories, the laughter, and the love she poured into all of you give you a bit of light in the days ahead. Wishing you peace, comfort, and the strength to keep moving forward, one step at a time.
