Sandra eventually moved to Pasadena, Texas where she met her future husband, Anthony L. (Tony) Danna. They were married for 55 wonderful years prior to Tony's death from cancer. Sandra and Tony had three energetic sons John, Mark, and Paul. Sandra was a very hands-on mother. She enjoyed supporting her boys in their endeavors, and she always made sure that their home was open to neighbors, friends, and family. She was an amazing cook who loved nothing more than cooking up a big pot of gumbo for family and friends. Dinner was always followed by games and prizes. Uno was her favorite game, but getting a family member that was willing to sit next to her was another thing. Sandra was a cut-throat player which always led to lots of laughs. We made many wonderful family memories sitting around the dining room table laughing and playing Uno.
As the boys got older, Sandra decided to go to work. She worked for the Pasadena Independent School District for many years finishing her career as the school secretary at South Houston Elementary. She retired in 2004, and she thoroughly enjoyed travelling the world in the years following her retirement. She visited Europe many times, and she also enjoyed the occasional cruise with friends.
Sandra was also active in their family church. Sandra, Tony, and the boys all attended St. Pius V Catholic Church in Pasadena, Texas where Sandra was a member of the altar and rosary society. Sandra was a devout Catholic, and she was devoted to our Blessed Mother. She enjoyed praying the rosary daily. Even as she struggled with dementia before her death, she would recite prayers from the rosary.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Preston Robert Myers and Vivan Marie Babineaux Myers; her beloved husband, Anthony (Tony) L. Danna; and her much-loved son, Mark James Danna.
She is survived by her two sons, John and his wife, Catherine Danna, of Onalaska, and Paul and his wife, Elaine, of Dickinson. She is survived by her brother, Preston Robert Myers, Jr. and partner, Iva Ellis, and her sister, Sheila McKee. Sandra is also survived by four grandchildren, Brittany and husband, Bryan Barrera, Allen Danna, Ryan Danna, and Kevin Danna. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Quinn and Clara Barrera. In addition, Sandra was blessed with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that will miss her.
There will be a rosary for Sandra on Saturday, September 13th at 10:30 AM at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 11011 Hall Road, Houston. The rosary will be followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM also at St. Luke's Catholic Church. There will be an internment after mass at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 8601 Almeda Genoa Road, Houston.

Friendswood, TX Thursday, August 28, 2025 I will always have fond memories of Mrs. Danna growing up. She was so kind, and always had a smile on her face. From St. Pius V bazaars, Diamond Shamrock picnics, and many other occasions, I have so many great memories of her and the Danna family. She was a beautiful woman inside and out and we were blessed to have her (and all of the Danna family) in our lives. I had many lovely conversations with her through private messaging between 2014-2020, and am so grateful I had those opportunities to reconnect with her. She was a wonderful person to know from both my childhood and as an adult, and I will never forget her. I know she is home with Christ, rejoicing with Mr. Danna and Mark. My prayers and condolences go out to John, Cathy, Paul, Elaine, and all of the Danna family.Deborah Waddell Mathews
