Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dewey C. ("Cooter") Eaton, son Terry R. Eaton, and sister Judy Beth Cain Wuensche.
Survivors include son Tommy Eaton; grandson Raymond Allen Eaton (wife Erin); granddaughter Brittny Elaine Eaton Walters (husband Clint); great grandchildren Kaylynn, Peyton, Kayslynn, and Clint, Jr.; sister Marjorie A. Cain; niece Donna N. Grundy; great nephew Nicholas Grundy; and special friends Jay and Brenda Burks.
Elaine grew up in Segno, Texas, and graduated from Big Sandy High School in 1960. She was a long-time member of Magnolia Hill Baptist Church. Her first job was with Southern Pacific Railroad in Galveston, Texas. She retired after thirty years from Sabine Gas Transmission Company in Houston. She also volunteered with an organization benefiting youth charities.
Family get-togethers for holidays and any occasion delighted her, especially when it included lots of chocolate! Elaine was a beacon of kindness throughout her life and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. During the last months of life, she received excellent care at The Bradford in Livingston.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Magnolia Hill Cemetery in Segno, with Brother Billy Brackin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Elaine's memory to Magnolia Hill Baptist Church, 9269 FM 943, Livingston, Texas, 77351.
