Dana was a cherished mother, sister, Mimi, and friend who brought warmth to everyone she met, to know her was to love her. She was a faithful member of Northside Church of Christ, in Livingston, Texas. To describe her as just "simple" would be an understatement; Dana was a beacon of light that always dazzled. She enjoyed spending her time quilting, sewing and expressing her creative side. Above all, her greatest joy came from being a Mimi to her grandchildren, whether cheering them on at their games or simply cherishing their presence. Dana was a pillar to her family and her love will be deeply missed by all that knew her sparkle.
She is survived by her daughters, Amber Suzanne Spears & husband Levi, Ashley Nicole Bowman, Allison Hermsdorfer & husband Jesus Ortega, Emma Marie Hermsdorfer, and Jessalynn Perez; sisters, Karena Dawson & husband Wesley, Dacey-Jaye Mann & husband Dakota, and Tyonnia Johnson; grandchildren, Elaina, Astrid, Guinevere and Conrad Spears, Isaac, Joseph, Jacob, Melanie, and Maria Ortega, and Emmitt Roberts; great-grandson, Roman; partner, Don Singletary; be loved fur babies, Gillian and Lucille; as well as many other loved ones and a host of friends.
Dana is preceded in death by her parents; paternal grandparents, Earnest & Loris Hill; maternal grandparents, Floyd & Doris Bowman; brothers, Thomas Bowman and Bobby Bowman.
A Visitation for Dana will be held from 12:00p-2:00p, Sunday, January 12, 2024, at Pace Funeral Home, in Livingston, Texas, with a Celebration of Life to begin at 2:00p, with Brother Jimmy Hermes officiating.

Willis, TX Saturday, January 11, 2025 I’m so sorry for your loss. I worked with Dana at GEO for 3 years and I enjoyed her happy spirit she had at work. She always had a happy spirit about her. She was a joy to work with. I will always remember her with such joy and love. The world has lost a light but she is with her heavenly family now and not in pain. She is watching you girls and the rest of your family. Remember the good times.I’m sending a hug and love to your family.
