Dana Sue Bowman was born on January 1, 1971, in Germany, to Thomas Dean and Bobbie Suzanne Bowman. She passed away from this life on January 6, 2025, in Livingston, Texas at the age of 54.

Dana was a cherished mother, sister, Mimi, and friend who brought warmth to everyone she met, to know her was to love her. She was a faithful member of Northside Church of Christ, in Livingston, Texas. To describe her as just "simple" would be an understatement; Dana was a beacon of light that always dazzled. She enjoyed spending her time quilting, sewing and expressing her creative side. Above all, her greatest joy came from being a Mimi to her grandchildren, whether cheering them on at their games or simply cherishing their presence. Dana was a pillar to her family and her love will be deeply missed by all that knew her sparkle.

She is survived by her daughters, Amber Suzanne Spears & husband Levi, Ashley Nicole Bowman, Allison Hermsdorfer & husband Jesus Ortega, Emma Marie Hermsdorfer, and Jessalynn Perez; sisters, Karena Dawson & husband Wesley, Dacey-Jaye Mann & husband Dakota, and Tyonnia Johnson; grandchildren, Elaina, Astrid, Guinevere and Conrad Spears, Isaac, Joseph, Jacob, Melanie, and Maria Ortega, and Emmitt Roberts; great-grandson, Roman; partner, Don Singletary; be loved fur babies, Gillian and Lucille; as well as many other loved ones and a host of friends.

Dana is preceded in death by her parents; paternal grandparents, Earnest & Loris Hill; maternal grandparents, Floyd & Doris Bowman; brothers, Thomas Bowman and Bobby Bowman.

A Visitation for Dana will be held from 12:00p-2:00p, Sunday, January 12, 2024, at Pace Funeral Home, in Livingston, Texas, with a Celebration of Life to begin at 2:00p, with Brother Jimmy Hermes officiating.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I worked with Dana at GEO for 3 years and I enjoyed her happy spirit she had at work. She always had a happy spirit about her. She was a joy to work with. I will always remember her with such joy and love. The world has lost a light but she is with her heavenly family now and not in pain. She is watching you girls and the rest of your family. Remember the good times.
I’m sending a hug and love to your family.
