Ervin was a proud United States Army veteran. Ervin retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, leaving a lasting impact on the community he served. He faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Livingston. He will be missed deeply by all that knew his love.
He is survived by wife, Patricia (Atkins) Herrmann; children, Theresa Nelson & husband Steve, Bonnie Champagne & husband Wayne, James Herrmann & wife Jennifer, Jerry Powell & wife Paula, Gary Smith & wife Chelsey; siblings, Ronnie Herrmann & wife Pam, Lanny Herrmann; grandchildren, Ashley Herrmann, Emily Herrmann, Dillon Powell, Asher Smith; as well as numerous other family members and a host of friends.
Ervin is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Billy Ray Herrmann and daughter, Frances Ann Herrmann.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Friday, September 20, 2024, at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
