Joe A. Swanson was born on January 9, 1941, in Cleveland, Texas, to John and Arminta (Roundtree) Swanson. He Passed a way on February 13, 2024, in Livingston, Texas, at the age of 83.
His loving family includes his wife, Wilma Swanson; daughter, Wanda Hammond; granddaughters, Elizabeth Mundy & husband T J, Christy Hammond & husband Greg Newman; grandson, Jonathon Hammond & wife Lillie; great- grandchildren, Lylith Powell, Lyteah Whatley, Luron Whatley, Amelia Hammond; many numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents; sons, John Andrew Swanson, and Bert Swanson; brothers, Rusty Swanson, and Alvia Vernon Swanson; sisters, Louellor Hassell, Ada May Fulcher, Gloria Sweet Pea Swanson, Delzia Lee Stanley, and Loria Lodo McMahan.
A Visitation for Joe will be held from 5:00p- 8:00p, Friday, February 16, 2024, at Pace Funeral Home, in Livingston Texas.
A Celebration of Joe?s Life will be held at 2:00p, Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Livingston First Church- Nazarene, at 3430 US HWY 190 W, Livingston, Texas, 77351, with Pastor Fred Huff officiating.
Interment to follow at Peebles Cemetery, in Livingston, Texas.
