I became good friends with Martha Arnett (now Marti Villanueva) in San Antonio, since we both attended St. Mary Magdalen school and Church. I got to know her parents when I was invited over to their house several times. Mrs. Arnett was very nice to me always. She sewed and cooked and maintained a happy home with their many children. Later, Marti and I went to Ursuline Academy together, and Mrs Arnett was in a car pool with my mother to get us to the campus. I have the highest regard for Mrs. Arnett and extend my sincere condolences to the entire family...and especially Marti, who kept me informed of her passing and the events to follow. Mrs. Arnett had a remarkably long life. May she rest in peace.
