Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Wilma Burns, sister Sue Smith, brother Tyson Burns and sister, Baby Girl Burns.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Berry; children, Shane Berry & wife Julie, Mark Berry & wife Melinda, Vance Berry & wife Valerie; grandchildren, Payge, Lexi, Skyler, Jayden, Kade, Kayson, Karson, Madi and Brynlee; sister by choice, Gloria Brumfield; four sisters; one brother; and numerous nieces and nephews
Jean was a loving wife, mother, and Meme. To her family meant everything. She enjoyed decorating her home so it would feel warm and cozy. Everyone who stopped by for a visit felt welcomed and loved. Jean loved getting her day started by sitting on her porch and drinking coffee.
She loved to make pumpkin bread especially for her grands but also for her friends and family. Jean found joy in spending time with her family, taking vacations, and traveling to the hill country. She also loved her "old lady road trips" with the ladies. Jean loved when Fall got here but her absolute favorite time of year was Christmas.
Her greatest treasures and accomplishments were her and Bill's marriage of 56 years and raising three sons into the men that they have become today. She loved her family fiercely and was proud of her husband, her boys, daughters in law "her girls" and most of all her grandkids.
The family would like to extend a big thank you to the Kindred Hospice team that cared for Jean in her final days.
A visitation for Jean will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 10:00 am, followed by a celebration of life beginning at 11:00 at Pace Funeral Home, in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Brad Butler officiating.
