James Vansandt Sr. was born in Pueblo, Colorado on May 28, 1953, to Virgil and Velma (Bohanna) Vansandt. James passed away at his home in Livingston, Texas on January 4, 2022 at the age of 68 years old.

He is survived by his son, James Vansandt; sisters, Jo Glenn, Margie, and Betty; as well as many other loved ones and a host of friends.
James served in the United States Army for several years and is a Vietnam Veteran.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Velma Vansandt; and wife, Julia Farris.
