Betty, Preacher and the rest of the family, I'm so sorry to hear of Melvin's passing. I have so many memories of Melvin's kindness and humor in those long ago times at Aunt Johnnie's. I remember Betty and Melvin showing me how they danced in the 50's and Melvin breaking out into the song "Let's Twist Again" in correct response to a Jeopardy question. I always think of him when I hear that song. I hope your memories are of comfort to you all.

A Lifelong buddy and neighbor. A better friend a man could never have than Melvin Collins. So many great times growing up in the thicket !! Betty I am very sorry and sad! May God give you the strength to climb out of this sad valley and climb to the hilltop with a smile of assurance he is now well. He is still with you in spirit, you just cant see him. In quite moments you will always feel his presence!!

So sorry to hear of Melvins passing. I often look back and think of all the things Melvin and I did together growing up. Done a lot of hunting and fishing in the Segno oilfield woods. Planned to get down his way for a visit but never made it happen so now will have to wait and see him in the Lords kingdom above.

Betty, our family is so sorry to learn of Melvin’s passing. His bravery these past years in facing such a difficult disease, and prevailing no matter how hard it must have been at times, was such an inspiration to all who were blessed to witness both of your smiling faces and love for one another.

May God comfort you and your family and give you peace in knowing Melvin is with his Savior.
