He is preceded in death by his parents.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Betty Sue Collins; son, Melvin Preacher Collins and wife Holly; granddaughter Lindsay and Jason White; great grandchildren, Hayden White, along with nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

I have so many memories of Melvin's kindness and humor in those long ago times at Aunt Johnnie's.
