I served in the armed forces.
James Crawley Gazaway born September 06, 1939, to James Carlton Gazaway and Viva Eugenia Crawley in Biggers, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021, in Livingston, Texas at the age of 81.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Paula Gazaway; son, Douglas Davis & fiancé Debra; daughter, Dawn Griffin & husband Josh; sister, Judy Smart, two grandchildren Alex Griffin, Haley Griffin; niece, Stephanie Smart; as well as many other loved ones and a host of friends.
James is a Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War. He was all about family, and through example inspired those around him. He was a faithful member of The Church of Christ in Jasper, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Carlton Gazaway, Viva Eugenia Crawley, and brother-in-law, Butch Smart.
A visitation will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021, 5-7pm at Pace Funeral Home.
There will be a Celebration of Life at 1:15pm, Friday, September 17, 2021, with military honors at Ft. Sam Houston 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd
