Charles Wayne Phillips was born August 02, 1942, in Clarksville, Tennessee, to his parents Arthur Phillips and Harriett Murphy. He went to be with his Lord Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at the age of 78 years old, in Lufkin, Texas.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife of 52 years, Peggy Jo; son, Patrick Phillips; brother, David Phillips & wife Sheila; sister, Peggy Merrill & husband Albert; nephews, Chad Phillips, and Jason Phillips; As well as many other relatives and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Phillips & Harriett (Murphy) Phillips; stepfather Carney Eades.
Mr. Phillips was a Veteran of the United States Army and the National Guard. He served our Country and loved it deep down to the core. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and racing cars. He was a master at each of those things.
A Celebration of Charles life will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Forrest Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Mike Loftin officiating.
