He is survived by his daughter, Terry Haynes Benton and Chase Tucci; Sharon Swaim; grandchildren, Sean Benton, Mark Benton Jr. & wife Erin, Mitchell John Haynes & Fiancé Maygan; great-grandchildren, Jackson Benton, Stevie May Haynes; along with a host of relatives and friends.
Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben Haynes and Lillian (Bradley) Haynes; a son, Billy John Haynes; and brother, Dwight Haynes.
He is a Veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War. Don worked the remaining years of his employment as Pipeline Superintendent for United Gas. He enjoyed visiting on his porch with his friends, Joe Dumas and Larry Brandon. Don enjoyed estate sales and always found a special item to brag about.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas, with Pastor, Jim Servidio officiating. Military Honors will be provided by our local VFW Post 8568.
