William "Bill" Arman Gibeault
November 11, 1951 - April 1, 2026
Our brother William Armand Gibeault ''Billy'' was born on November 11, 1951 in Southbridge, Massachusetts. He was the eldest of five children born to Natalie Adah Cabana and Armand Joseph Gibeault ''Joe.'' Step-father Paul Leblanc (a very kind man who had studied for the priesthood and was a USAF veteran) married our Mom and assisted in the raising of five children on Pleasant Street. Bill leaves behind his sisters Deborah Beaudry, Kathryn Wayne, Kathy's husband Russell, his brother Jason Gibeault and Jason's wife Carol. Brother Michael Gibeault (Cabana) preceded Bill in death. Aunt Maddy Hebert, husband Gary, numerous cousins, nephews and a niece. Bill attended Southbridge High School and graduated with his sister Debbie in 1970. After High School Bill joined the Navy and was on the USS Saratoga during the Vietnam conflict. Bill was in the shipping business all his life working for Electric Boat (submarines) in Groton, CT. Bill then decided to join our Mother Natalie and Michael in San Diego. Bill returned to ship building working for NASSCO Until his retirement. Bill loved sports especially the Boston Red Sox and San Diego Padres. From the time Bill was in elementary school Bill collected sporting cards especially baseball. Bill memorized all the statistics. Bill and Debbie made their first communion together, along with attending Catholic Church/studies, elementary, junior high school and high school. Bill married after the age of 60 for the very first time. A plaque at MT Soledad in San Diego was gifted to Bill on his 60th birthday by his sister Debbie to honor Bill's military service.
