Gene Harland Bell

Gene Harland Bell, age 87, was born on March 22, 1939, in Houston, Texas, to John Edward Bell and Verdie Elizabeth Bell. He passed peacefully from this life on March 23, 2026, at his home in Livingston, Texas.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Debra Bolton; Troy Bell and wife Shannon; Anthony Bell and wife Shari; and James Bell and wife Samantha. He was a proud father and grandfather who took great joy in watching his family grow. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart, as well as many other loved ones and a host of dear friends who will remember him fondly.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Patsy Marie Bell, with whom he shared many years of love and companionship; his daughter, Theresa Bell; and all of his brothers and sisters.

Gene found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing. He had a true talent for woodworking. He took pride in building birdhouses and planters for his garden, creating pieces that reflected both his skill and his love for nature. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and spent much of his time surrounded by its beauty.

Known for his kindness, Gene had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh that could brighten any room. He was an amazing storyteller, always ready to share a memory or a tale that would bring smiles and laughter to those around him. His warm spirit, gentle nature, and ability to connect with others made him a cherished presence in the lives of many.

Gene's legacy of love, laughter, and craftsmanship will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 2:00pm- 6:00pm, at Pace Funeral Home, in Livingston, Texas.
